3 delicious summer snacks for kids

Children will be very active during the summer season. Whether they are playing in the park or swimming at the beach, they need delicious and refreshing snacks to fuel their energy. Put a smile on their face by being creative when preparing their food – try these delicious summer snacks perfect for kids!

Cereal dipped in yogurt and strawberry

What do you need:

  • 1 dozen strawberries

  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal

  • 3/4 cup plain or vanilla yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Mix the yogurt and honey in a small bowl. Place the Cheerios cereal in a shallow dish. Dip each strawberry once or twice in the yogurt and honey mixture until well coated and then roll into the plate of Cheerios. Place the yogurt-dipped strawberries on a plate and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Gummy Stuffed Ice Cream Pops

What do you need:

  • Colorful gummy bears

  • Elf

  • Popsicle mold

  • popsicle sticks

Sprite in each pan about 3/4 to the end. Place gummy bears (as many as you want or as many as your mold can accommodate). Place a popsicle stick in each mold and place in the freezer until completely frozen. Once completely frozen, remove the popsicles from the pan and serve immediately.

Crispy Stuffed S’mores

What do you need:

  • 7 cups mini marshmallows

  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal

  • 1 bar of Hershey’s milk chocolate

  • 1/2 package graham cracker sheets

  • 5 tablespoons of butter

Melt the butter and 5 cups of the marshmallows together in a large skillet over low heat. Add the crispy rice cereal until just combined and remove from heat. Pour half of the mixture into a greased 9×9-inch pan. Spread evenly with a spatula. Top with graham crackers, chocolate bar, and 1 cup of mini marshmallows. Roast for 30 seconds in an oven.

When done, for the remaining butter, marshmallow and crispy rice cereal mix on top of the s’mores layer. Spread evenly again with a spatula. Top with the remaining marshmallows and return to the oven to roast for 1 minute. Let cool a few minutes before cutting.
