MLM Training – Should You Join With A Heavyweight In Network Marketing?

Heavy hitters make a lot of money in network marketing. Why? Because they have colossal organizations brimming with talent and energy. If you’re like most, you want to be like them (you know, riding a horse on the beach in Puerto Vallarta while the super-leverage of your huge team continues to generate big paychecks, whether you work or play).

Obviously, anyone who has created a situation like the one above deserves a little consideration when deciding to join a network marketing company. But here’s the dilemma: If these Richy Riches are always out of the jet-set and mingling with other top company leaders, why would they pay attention to the little one? How do you know that you won’t end up falling through the cracks? Wouldn’t it be better to join someone who is always available to advise you personally (even if you only make $ 4K or more a month?).

Well, I’m not going to answer the question posed in this article, “Should you team up with a heavy hitter?” However, here are three things to consider:

1. Listening to 10 minutes of personalized instruction from a person earning 7 figures is more valuable than hours with a newbie.

2. Most heavy hitters have personal assistants who handle recovery issues very well, the “learning curve” type of getting their business up and running. However, once you prove yourself, even in the slightest way, you can often secure more privatized time with the heavy hitter. Another little secret is that a true heavy hitter usually has an unusually abundant amount of free time, and they have fun spending some of that time training base leaders.

3. Rarely does a person in network marketer outperform his sponsor (don’t ask me to explain why). So, if that is usually true, why consider joining someone who is not a major player in network marketing?

In closing, I have one last addition to number three, although “generally true” that people rarely outperform their sponsor, it is “sometimes true.” And I would venture to say that every “heavy hitter” I know outperformed his sponsor. So perhaps the whole question to ask yourself is best positioned like this: “What does it take to become a great hitter in MLM?” A lazer-like approach in that direction will give you the best results. See you at the top.
