The best meals I have had the privilege to eat

New York has some of the best restaurants in the world, and in recent years I have made it my goal to eat in as many as possible. It has not been an easy task, but I think I have made a solid tooth.

Although it pains me to think about how much money I’ve spent on food living in New York, some of the foods I’ve eaten will stay with me forever.

The first really good meal I had in New York was at the legendary Gotham restaurant. If you have ever seen or read American Psycho, think of this restaurant as Dorsia. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then all you need to know is that this restaurant is a New York staple and could pass as the definition of fine dining.

Sushi Yasuda is the best sushi you can eat in New York. I can say this for sure after visiting all the best sushi places. Go for lunch and get the $38 prix fixe, which will give you enough fish to agree with me.

Whether you’re looking for adventure or romance, Blue Hill at Stone Barns is the answer. Located about 30 minutes outside of town, Dan Barber’s farm-to-table masterpiece is set on a farm where all the dishes are prepared. Redefine freshness.

As of today, Le Bernardin is the best food I’ve ever had. A friend and I went and did the 9 course chef’s tasting which is a seafood masterpiece. Everything we had was amazing, highlighting the Truffled Prawn.

But what will be my favorite food three weeks from now? I’m only questioning this because I’m going to Per Se. I had to make this reservation over 2 months ago and have been looking forward to this meal ever since. Very excited to deliver, but I am confident that the staff at Thomas Keller will not let me down.

Il Mulino is an old world Italian restaurant that transports you to a living room. You’d better come hungry, and not fill up on bread!
