The Voice of the Flesh, the Voice of the Demons, the Voice of God and the Bible

We are communicative beings. When we are awake, we are constantly generating or listening to communications. According to the Bible, there are three sources of communicative generation: the flesh, the demons, and God. Ideally, everything should be preceded. “This message is from your flesh”, gold, “You are about to hear from a demon.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. Identifying the source from which a statement can be learned … and it is extremely valuable.

Flesh releases: from our own flesh or from the flesh of others

Regarding the meat, Paul said: “I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh …” (Romans 7:18). We are also told, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Pr 14:12). In our natural state, we are described as “alienated and hostile in mind” (Colossians 1:21). In referring to Gentiles without the law, Paul speaks of “their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or defending them” (Romans 2:15). They all build an internal value system. Against this grid, everything is measured, and justified … or rationalized. Sometimes values are group norms, but sometimes everyone just does it. “what is right in your own eyes” (Judg 21:25). From God’s perspective, all consciousness systems have many subjective elements, with areas of “false guilt”, and areas of “no fault” where the real guilt exists. The natural man is really playing without a full deck. “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool” (Pr 28:26).

We are surrounded, internally and externally, by voices of flesh. And external corrupt voices are often just an extension of our own flesh. “Because the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. But, wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate teachers according to their own desire and will turn their ears away from the truth and turn to myths” (2Tim 4: 3,4). People like voices that resonate with theirs. Cheating is not a factor. Don’t assume … I consider myself … immune.

Demonic releases

Referring to the main demon, Jesus said: “(Satan) … is not in the truth, because there is no truth in him … he is a liar and the father of lies” (Jn 8.44). Sometimes demonic voices are distressed. “Legion” cried out to Jesus, “Have you come here to torment us before the time?” (Mt 8:29). But, the seven sons of Sceva received a demonic communication of a different tone. “’I know Jesus and I know about Paul, but who are you?’ And the man in whom the evil spirit was, jumped on them … so that they would flee from that house naked and wounded “ (Acts 19: 14-16). In relative terms, I think these releases make up a very small part of the total. “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore, it is not surprising that his servants also (2Cor 11:14, 15). Too, “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.” (1Tim 4: 1). Demonic communiqués embrace deception as their heart. And what positions do you think demons occupy when they present their teachings? Do you think that those who are in the pews, or who read materials contrary to the Bible, think that they are listening … to the demons? I am convinced that most demons have a silver tongue … and the seduced believe that they are hearing the voice of God. Content is the key. That is why we must “Examine everything; hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Satan is quite skilled in the use of the Scriptures. He has millennia of experience and does not fear God. This is evidenced in the temptations of the desert. He used the Word of God … against the Author of those words (Mt 4: 6). This is crazy.

The end of such voices

These voices of error lead and end in death. That is one of the reasons why I attack all the errors. Such as “A little leaven leavens the whole lump” (Galatians 5: 9), so too, small mistakes invariably attract more destructive cohorts. Recently my oldest daughter received a parking ticket. The first warning was courteous, but the second threatened life and limb. After realizing that the death penalty probably did not apply, I said: “While I don’t know exactly what repercussions come from an unpaid $ 25 parking ticket, I do know one thing: nothing good will come … Nothing.” The same goes for the error. While I try to avoid turning sand mounds into mountains, I also know that sand mounds are easier to level than mountains. So if I can successfully crush a grain of sand … I will.

With regard to the Scriptures, men and demons, he regularly distorts them. Men do this for money, power, or prestige. The demons only want you in hell. The thought of some pawn being forgiven and heading for an eternity of unfathomable wonders with God is more than they can bear. But whatever the reasons for this recklessness, everyone does this “to his own downfall” (2 Peter 3:16). The sanctions, when descending from the Throne of God, are beyond imagination. Even the blood-covered saints are warned, “My brothers, few of you become teachers, knowing that, as such, we will incur strict judgment.” (James 3: 1).

The voice of God

The Bible says, God “He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways” (Hebrews 1: 1). Sometimes it was communicated audibly (Ex 3: 4), sometimes through a prophet (Jer 29: 1-4), and sometimes through dreams and visions (Job 33: 15-18). “But in these last days, (He) has spoken to us in the Son” (Hebrews 1: 2). Sometimes it is communicated audibly (Acts 9: 4-6), sometimes through a prophet (Acts 21: 9-11), and sometimes through dreams and visions (Acts 16: 9, 10). Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice” (Jn 10:27) and said to Pilate: “Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice” (Jn 18,37). While He can choose anywhere He wants, it seems to me that the Bible itself is His primary vehicle of choice for communication in both the Old and New Covenants (see Lk 16:31 and Heb 4:12).

Chosen angels and humans “Tuned up” With God

God has also decided to allow men and angels the privilege of communicating the truth. He is the Creator of everything in heaven and earth, including all truths in all fields of study, physical and metaphysical. I think the chosen angels are aware of this and give credit to God right away. Men, in this darkened valley, are slow to give credit, if at all. Many believe that “I thought so” – or have discovered some truth unknown to all. And … they want credit for it. This will be exposed as a great mistake on the Day of Judgment. God has allowed access to the truth, but “will not give (His) glory to another” (Isaiah 42: 8). The truth is yours “voice.”

Christians, when they think accurately, “the mind of Christ” (1Cor 2:16). “All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” they are hidden in Him (Colossians 2: 3). By speaking from this mind, having accessed these treasures, one can be used by God – as His voice. This is a fantastic opportunity.

It must be recognized that, although one may traffic in the truth, it does not automatically follow that one is in the truth (Num 22-24, 31: 8 and Jn 11: 49-52).

conclusion

Those with the spiritual gift of “distinction of spirits” (1Cor 12:10) can identify the source of some communications quite easily. But, others, who are not as blatantly talented, can still become quite adept at determining the origin of a voice. Here are some tips.

1. Study the Bible. Ask God for wisdom to hear and accurately handle “the word of truth” (2Tim 2:15). If you skip or skip this step … the rest is irrelevant.

2. It is okay to put teachings (or comments) in a “holding tank.” When faced with a behavioral or theological challenge, take it to God and ask Him for help discerning what “voice” origin. Paul would be the first to commend the Bereans for searching the Scriptures every day to see if their message was correct (Acts 17:11). Is Right to gather information, weigh it, examine it, and think about it. Anyone who assaults you for doing this, you should walk away immediately. None of them … is a Paul.

3. Decide to cooperate with what you know God has communicated to you. When Nathan said, “You are the man!” (2Sam 12: 7), David did not need to undertake a search to find out if God had communicated with him or not. God teaches the obedient.

I wish I could tell you, in each circumstance, what voice you are listening to. Sometimes I can, but sometimes … you must figure this out before God. But the payoff will far outweigh the effort. The reward … is life.
