These are the basic cooking and baking utensils that any aspiring baker and chef should have.

Bottle/Can Opener: For opening cans and bottles. It should be well mounted if possible.
Kitchen scales: to measure amounts of food. Must be metric or imperial.
Microwave oven: used to rapidly heat or melt frozen foods and sauces.
Mortar and pestle: used to crush food and crush spices.
Kitchen timer: for precise adjustments of cooking intervals.
Measuring cups and spoons: to measure ingredients accurately.
