In order to work as a Customer Service Representative in the insurance profession, the state of Florida requires a 4-40 license. Licensing is available by either taking a state licensing exam or taking a designation course such as the Registered Customer Service Representative Designation offered by the University of Central Florida in association with the University of Florida Insurance. The designation course excuses the student from the state licensing test.
