4 easy steps to place images on your photo locket

If you are a proud and happy owner of a photo locket, you will need to place your photo and that of your loved one inside that locket as well. Your gold locket or any other photo locket will only look complete once you have a perfectly sized photo or photos inside that eye-catching oval piece of art. Here are 4 steps that will make it easy for you to place photos inside this little closet full of memories.

You will first need to measure your photo locket. If you have a heart-shaped or round or oval gold locket, you will need to resize and crop your photos accordingly. You will need to open your locket and measure the exact size where your photos will be framed. If your locket has plastic inserts, you will need to remove them with small tweezers. A simple squeeze in the right place will open the inserts that should now be used as a frame to increase the size of your photos.

If you have ready-made photos of yourself or any loved one that you want to immortalize within your photo locket, you can simply place the insert over the photo. You can choose what you want to include in the insert, and once you’ve made your decision, you need to trace the outside of the insert over the photo. However, if you only have photos on your computer, you will need to print them first. You can also crop or resize the photo before printing if you have adequate experience using photo editing software. Now you can print the photos and trace them to size, if necessary.

Once you’ve traced your photos, all you need to do is use a sharp pair of scissors to cut them into oval shapes. Your gold locket may be made of 14, 18, or 24k gold, but the photos you place inside cannot be compared in terms of price. Once your photos are cut to the exact size of your oval locket inserts, you are ready to attach them to your locket. You need to insert the photos from one side in the space given for those photos. You will now need to put the previously removed insert back in its original place.

Once the insert is positioned over the photo, you will need to lock it back to its original position so that your photo is sandwiched securely between the locket body and the insert. Once your photo is snugly fit under the insert, you can take your pliers and press them to lock the insert in its original place. If your oval locket has room for two photos, then you simply need to use this process twice so that each photo is secured in the locket while the memories these photos hold remain safe within your heart.

A gold locket offers you the opportunity to store your memories for decades in style. If you opt for an engraved or inlaid oval locket, these simple steps will allow you to quickly and cleanly attach photos to your photo locket in no time.
