BlackBerry PlayBook comes to challenge iPads

Research in Motion (RIM) has never let its fans down and has always produced something new and innovative for them. The company is known throughout the world for its modern and superior phones, better known by the name of BlackBerry. BlackBerry phones have always given stiff competition to the other big players in the mobile phone industry and have led the market for their user-friendly features and most advanced technology.

After making its mark in the mobile phone and smartphone sector, the company is once again ready to challenge the tablet market, which is the latest love of mobile consumers. The tablet PC market is growing very rapidly and can be best measured by the huge popularity of Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. Now RIM is going to launch its first tablet PC, the BlackBerry PlayBook.

Although the tablet PC segment is currently dominated by the Apple iPad, it is said that this new product from RIM will be a challenging competitor to the Apple iPads and several other Android-based tablets and, by the time it is released, it will be the best tablets ever. The device will come with Adobe Flash 10.1 and Adobe AIR built in, which are otherwise missing from iPads. This feature will make web browsing more convenient and enjoyable. It will also include a 7-inch wide HD LCD touch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Multitasking will also be a never-before-seen experience with the device’s amazing QNX technology-based operating system that gets the best of the processor.

BlackBerry PlayBook will also be a delight for music lovers. The device’s custom designed media player supports all current audio file formats and offers a clean and intuitive interface and has a large storage capacity to allow users to store a large number of music files. Other notable features of the PlayBook are the presence of dual cameras, video conferencing facility, fast execution speed and secure integration with BlackBerry smartphone.

BlackBerry PlayBook deals are expected to be released in the first half of the year and the device is initially expected to launch under pay-monthly contract deals. The tablet is a high-end device and does not belong to the cheap mobile phone segment, but profitable deals with special offers will be available to provide full value for money to consumers.
