Early vs late potty training

Many doctors or psychologists will tell you not to potty train until your child is 3 or 4 years old. Some even say not to potty train the child at all; that they will be potty trained when they are ready, which they say is between the ages of 4 and 5. I personally don’t know how and where they got their stats because I found the exact opposite.

Through my many years of potty training, I have found that parents who begin to introduce the idea of potty training to their children at a very young age have quicker and easier success than those parents who they wait until the child is much older.

Children who are younger are more impressionable, they don’t look their way. The closer a child approaches the age of three, the more he becomes established in his ways. They are comfortable in their diaper and the way they do things.

The older the child, the harder and longer parents take to potty train their child. Children at this age know how to control the situation and use their control. They are also very comfortable with the way things are, so it’s hard to get them to change.

I found that most children at the age of 22 months are ready to be potty trained and can be potty trained in as little as three days. Why wait until a child is 4 years old? Why make it harder for yourself later? Why change diapers for another two years?

Is your child already 3 or 4 years old? Well, the good news is that it’s not too late. You too can be potty trained in just three days. You may have a little more fighting on your hands, but it can be done!

Now, I am not a doctor or a psychologist but I am a mother of 6 children and I have had 8 foster children. I have also successfully potty trained over 2,100 children around the world. Personally, I feel like I’m an expert on potty training. So, in my “expert” opinion, I think that if you learn to go potty early, you’ll have quicker and easier success.

At EasyPottyTraining.com you can find a potty training guide that provides a fail-safe test to assess your little one’s readiness. If your little one can pass this easy test, then they are ready for potty training.
