Effects of modern gadgets on children’s values

With the modern trends of technology today, children are prone to the harmful effects that gadgets bring. Around 60 to 70% of children around the world between the ages of 10 and 17 are connected to cell phones. They spend up to 5 hours or more calling, texting, or just playing games. And there will also be a mobile phone, known as Firefly, for children under the age of 5, designed to simply call their mom.

Using this gadget can be uncontrollable. It is up to you as a mother or father to teach your child to be responsible with their mobile phones, ask them to pay when their mobile runs out of money. Or to get some agreement from mobile companies that automatically cut off usage when the child abuses her allowance for the month.

The T-Mobile phone company has a feature that allows you, as a parent, to know the numbers your child calls. Most of today’s cell phones have a built-in camera, so you can tell your kids which pictures are good to take and which are bad for circulation.

Let them know that you like to look at both photos and videos, tell them that only you will be the one to delete them.

Buy the easiest to use or simplest cell phones possible. If the children have a phone model that allows them to surf the Internet, monitor their menu programs and log in to the integrated controls for younger mobile users.

Modern technology is facilitating our lifestyle, but it also has its pros and cons. We need to teach young people about the beneficial and harmful effects it can bring. Remember the saying: “Children are the hope of the fatherland.”
