Goa Holidays – Exotic Destination for Holidays in India

If you are looking for the perfect beach vacation, you should plan a trip to Goa, India. Goa is home to sandy beaches, coconut trees, seafood dishes, along with beautiful scenery away from the beach such as green hills, dense forests of mango, javfruit and cashew trees separated by calm riverbanks.

Goa is unlike other cities in India, allowing visitors to embrace laziness from sun-filled beaches to a rich history to explore. The best time to visit Goa is from November to February when you will find pleasant temperatures. June to September is the rainy season, however it is still a wonderful time to visit as the rain is not constant but helps provide slightly cooler temperatures.

If you want to visit during various Hindu festivals and celebrations, you should book your trip during the months of January, February and March. Shantadurga Prasann is celebrated in January while in February you can enjoy the three-day Zatra festival of Shri Mangesh or wait until March and visit during the Holi festival called Shigmo.

After sunbathing on the sandy beach, you may want to visit some of the local attractions. Some of the most popular include Panaji, Old Goa, and Vagator & Chapora.

Panaji is the capital of Goa and is a beautiful city that offers Latin style houses with red roofs, impressive gardens and the most impressive Laigo do Igreja church square with a white balustrade staircase.

Just 8 km from Panaji is Old Goa, which is the spiritual heart of the area. Here he will feel history enveloping him as he looks at the Portuguese churches that stand as milestones in the history of Christianity in India. Old Goa is home to several wonderful museums such as the Archaeological Museum and the Portrait Gallery.

Vagator & Chapora on the beautiful long coastline that is dotted with all kinds of attractions. Big Vagator has several shacks, as well as a large beach resort. Middle Vagaor is known to locals on the beach in Tel Aviv. Chota Vagator is the place for action. Here you will find Disco Valley and Party Spot, so you can get down to dance the night away. At the north end of Vagator, you’ll see the ruins of the Chapora Fort Tower overlooking the Chapora River and beach.

One more beach worth visiting is Anjuna beach. The beach is long and divided into three sections. You will find a wide range of things to do here, from enjoying the various cuisines like food shacks to visiting the Laxminarayan Temple along with a flea market that has all kinds of delicacies and fun things to find.
