How to fix a soaked iPhone?

Imagine a situation when you are busy reading the newspaper and your hand hits the glass of water, which drains its contents onto your beloved iPhone. What is your immediate reaction? It’s a time of panic and despair, isn’t it? Of course, all iPhone owners would have their hearts in their mouths in such a situation. The fully featured iPhone is also a very fragile material when it comes to water spills. However, it is not the end of the world; you can still fix your iPhone, despite the water debacle. However, it involves some serious risks, which is probably your only chance to get your iPhone working again.

Before you can practice or even attempt to move forward with the process, you need to know the terms and conditions of your insurance. Some companies cover water spills, while others do not. So make sure your insurance company offers such coverage. Also, keep in mind that once you hand over your iPhone to a third-party repair shop or try to tamper with it individually within the warranty period, you will also lose this privilege. Do you still want to repair your phone? Then read on.

To avoid any damage to the motherboard, you must be careful not to try to touch any physical input part of the iPhone. Some people tend to wash the towel in a hurry, and finally touch the screen and wake up the phone. If this were to happen, the circuits inside the iPhone would be activated and the motherboard and other circuits would short out. That is, the phone will become a failure, causing irreparable damage to the most beloved iPhone. So the best thing to do is to avoid touching the reset, home, and touch screen as best you can.

Moving on, you should be ready to disassemble or let the repair staff disassemble the iPhone. Usually, such intricate iPhone repair jobs need an expert hand. But, if you can track the assembly yourself, you can continue with your self-service. In this process, the first part to come off will be the SIM tray. Put the SIM card aside and turn your attention to the case. Using an opener, remove the iPhone case. If you’ve looked at an iPhone repair before, you can get these two jobs done in no time.

Now unscrew the three screws to access the motherboard. Here will be a lath-like cord, which joins the base board and the frame, which must be carefully disconnected. You will now witness the most secure region of the iPhone, where ten screws must be removed, including the one behind the tape. You have now entered the motherboard chamber, where the battery and motherboard are attached. Carefully remove all the screws and latches, keeping in mind which one goes where. Finally, separate the LCD screen and digitizer with the same bow.

Let all of these individual pieces dry under a fan or sunlight for at least a few hours before assembling the pieces one by one. Cross your fingers for the phone to get its life back.
