And the key factor here is to pretend that your partner or teacher only speaks English and does not understand any other language, so you have to speak to him in English.
You can say that: “This is impossible because I know a little English.” You can use your phone and go to Google translate. Whatever words you don’t know, you can look them up in google translate and you must speak English. Because the goal here is when you go abroad to an English speaking country, you want to talk and have a conversation with the locals. That’s why you need to start there (starting with the end in mind). You need to speak English frequently until it becomes a habit.
