iPad Vs Android: Which is the best tablet?

Welcome to the technology wars. Anytime there’s something new on the market, it doesn’t take long before everyone has a version. Choosing the best shouldn’t be based on bells and whistles, but on performance, price, options, and functionality. Read on for a side-by-side comparison of the iPad and Android in these areas.

Performance: Truth be told, both perform remarkably well. The primary functions are the same. So what if the iPad doesn’t have a camera or USB ports? It also doesn’t support flash, which is an important feature since your browser is safari. With iPad you can not do YouTube, more is worth it. Performance in all areas that count are tied.

Price – If you like to buy apps that are fun, then Android is the way to go. The best part of Android is that all the apps are free source apps. This means that you can modify and improve any application they have. This is not so with the iPad. Its applications are very proprietary.

Options: If you love Android, it’s probably because of the different options it offers. It has several versions on the market while the iPad is well the iPad. That’s all well and good, but Apple is the master of hardware. Let’s face it, software (Google’s forte) comes and goes, but hardware is forever. That’s the power that Apple has in terms of being the number one hardware brand over Google.

The facts are that for the average user, any of the pads on the market would work in a pinch. Which begs the question is more always better? There really are apps for everything with Android and that can be your downfall. The speeds with which these apps are activated have already caused rashes in families. The price of these seemingly innocent Android apps can add up very quickly. This is a problem that the iPad does not have.

Apple’s iPad is the best-selling iPad in the world, but Google has been vying for its money. With all the different pads running various operating systems, they’re going to steal a lot of the limelight from the iPad. The only thing that would really bring Apple down is that it’s on the AT&T network. A network known for its spotty and erratic service.

Buy what you like and what you can afford, but for more continuous service, the Android wind is unchallenged. Keep in mind that if Apple opted for something other than AT&T, it would be unstoppable.
