The five CRITICAL things to do for your health and weight loss

I am often asked what is the best diet, or the best eating program, the best exercise program, and what is the best book to recommend for improving your health, fitness, or weight loss.

The answer is that there is no best way to do it. There is no such thing as the best book and there is no right or wrong way to do it.

The 5 critical things you must do to achieve your health are these

1. Continue to learn about health, fitness, nutrition, and weight loss from a wide variety of sources.

The most important thing to do from the beginning is to take action and start learning about health, closely followed by putting what you have learned into practice. We are a very diverse group of people and what works for you may not work for the next person. You have to find what works for you from a wide variety of sources, expand your knowledge, and accept nothing as the best for your health. Read on, keep learning, and keep what works for you and discard what doesn’t.

Knowledge is not power, but “knowledge in action is power!”

Some very simple things to keep in mind is that the body feeds on food and if you give it the best quality food, whatever mansion it is, you will probably get good results overall. Keep nutrition to the max by eating as close to nature as possible, organic when possible, and cutting out processed foods and trans fats.

2. Find a mentor.

Someone who was there, did that and you can model.

I realized at a fairly young age that if we can model someone who has been there and done it and gotten results, then they can get down to business, so to speak, to find out what works for their health and loss of health. weight, what doesn’t work, and by doing so, get results faster.

Find a mentor, a role model for the things you are looking for. If it’s about losing weight or improving your health, find someone who has followed in your footsteps and knows what you’re going through. Model them. Do what they did, repeat their process, and contact them to ask what worked and what didn’t. You can save a lot of time and effort by doing what works and omitting what doesn’t.

3. Apply the knowledge acquired about health on a daily basis.

This is where the acting part comes in. You need to start applying the knowledge you’ve gained from what you’ve read or seen about health and talking to people who have been there before you. If you don’t put it into practice, you have become an information junkie and not someone who follows your knowledge. You must start working on the principles you have learned daily and stick with it. Without trial and error, you won’t get anywhere quickly, and you won’t really know what works and what doesn’t.

4. Repeat steps one, two, and three.

Remember, there is no right or wrong way to lose weight, improve your health, or get what you want. You must continue to learn and challenge what you have read. They tell me what I teach is wrong and I ask them what their results were when they tried it. Well, they didn’t try and then I ask them “what right do you have to tell me that what I teach is wrong”. It may have worked for me or many people I coach including yourself, but without trying and challenging it, you will never know.

Keep learning about health, keep reading, keep applying what you have read and this new knowledge. Begin the process of filtering out for yourself what will and won’t work for you. Remember that this is about you, not about me or the other guy, but about what will help you achieve your weight loss goals or your health. It is quite possible that it is applying certain fitness principles that sound so controversial that you imagine they cannot work. One of my favorite sayings is “don’t believe anything I say, but I challenge you to prove me wrong.” My intention is for you to try it.

When I started my journey to lose 300 pounds, I read a book and preached the principles as if they were the gospel. Finally they told me to “shut up” and read something else, so I took it upon myself to learn all I could about health and weight loss. I started to apply my new knowledge on a daily basis, I found people who had used the information before and what they believed about it, what worked for them for their health, and then I found out for myself what worked.

Finally, I discovered the latest secret to health and weight loss.

5. Never give up.

It never ends. In the great realm of your life, the next 30, 40, 50 or more years, which is a few days if you get out of the way. Get back to what you were doing, keep learning, keep trying new things, get back to what worked when it worked, and keep up with your daily exercise routine. Probably the most important fact about exercise or fitness is that our bodies are designed to move and we have moved away from that. We must do something daily to exercise our body.

Never give up. Never lose sight of the health you want and keep working towards your goal.
