I was told that the life blood of your Network Marketing business is “recruit recruit recruit hard” and then Sponsor – repeat “recruit recruit recruit hard” – sponsor – is something wrong with this equation?

Now network marketing is a business model, however it is still a business and many aspects of a network marketing business relate to traditional business, it is important to take note because traditional business is easy to explain to people. People, they get it right away. That is why Jesus spoke in parables (stories) he tried to explain the way of God with stories that we could understand. Let’s look at a traditional business model like a pizzeria and you are the owner; You need more clients, so you start advertising. You put an ad in the newspaper, maybe you hire a company to put up flyers in the neighborhood, or even do a local TV ad. Have you noticed that most of the successful entrepreneurs who built empires do NOT get in front of their ads; even to this day, the Ford Motor Company is owned by the Ford family and is rarely heard from again. Bill Gates (before retirement) may have done a few seminars, however he never put himself in a commercial.

You should NEVER hire someone directly, but let an enterprise system do it for you. Imagine Bill Gates knocking on your door asking you to buy his latest operating system or Ray Kroc, founder of McDonald’s (if he were still alive) stopping you on the street telling you his burgers are the best and how he made billions selling them and you need have one your way now! dumb right? You are a business owner, you are in the process of building an empire, so why do so many people go out and harass their friends and family, email the world, and pester everyone about your great product or service and opportunity?

No matter what your product or service or even your business model is, you need to passively recruit your customers and when you get them, you need to passionately keep them! In Network Marketing it is the same but a little different. You need to endorse a system that does ALL the recruiting for you so you can take the time to qualify a partner and passionately HELP them succeed when you have them by teaching you the system. Too many people in this business spend so much time recruiting that when they finally get someone, they ignore them and keep recruiting! They forgot why they were recruiting in the first place and that was to find someone and keep them as a customer who is a partner in a commission based business.

Jesus did NOT recruit and did not teach us to recruit. He taught FIRST to be like Him and be a bright light in the darkness and then let the word of God work (recruit) in the Hearts of man. He taught us to passionately sponsor or support our brothers and sisters. During Jesus’ time (and now), washing another’s feet was the most passionate sign of being a servant to another. Jesus taught us that a Great Leader is a Great Servant as he was for all of us. Passion of Christ.

Your problem is that you haven’t found a great business system or you found it and refuse to follow it. Your other problem is that you’re too busy recruiting and chasing people… think about it: if you’re chasing someone, it means someone is running from you.
