Pakistan’s top five tourist attractions

Pakistan is a country enriched with culture, nature, adventure, and heritage. From the mighty stretches of Karakoram in the north to the Arabian Sea in the west, Pakistan is full of many famous natural and crazy tourist attractions. Here is a list of the top ten tourist spots in Pakistan.

K2:

Pakistan is proud to have the second highest mountain in the world. K2 is the second highest peak on Earth, after Mount Everest. The 28,251-foot (8,611-meter) tall K2 is located in the Skardu district of the Gilgit-Baltistan region, Pakistan. It is located on the border between Pakistan and China. Most of the mountain is climbed from the Pakistani side because it is very dangerous to climb from the Chinese side.

K2 is also called Savage Mountain because of its difficult ascent and the second highest fatality rate among the eight thousand. For every four people who successfully climbed K2, one died in the attempt.

Nanga Parbat (The Killer Mountain):

It is the ninth highest mountain in the world with an elevation of 26,660 feet (8,126 meters). It is located in the Diamer district of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Nanga Parbat is also known as Killer Mountain because it is considered the deadliest among all eight thousand.

Fairy meadow:

The lush green plateau of Fairy Meadow is located in the Diamir district near Nanga Parbat in Gilgit Baltistan. To get to Nanga Parbat you must first get to Fairy Meadow. It is also called Heaven on Earth for its wonderful beauty. It is located at an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level. The place is closed for national and foreign tourists during winter due to heavy snowfall.

Kaghan Valley:

Kaghan Valley is the most famous valley among Pakistani tourists. It is located in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The beautiful mountains, charming lakes, and attractive landscapes have made this valley very popular. Another reason this valley is famous is because it is the closest valley among the valleys in the northern areas for tourists coming from Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Islamabad. The highest point in this valley is the Babusar Pass at an altitude of 13,690 feet (4,170 meters) above sea level.

The famous places in this valley are Naran, Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Malika Parbat, Lake Aansoo, Lake Dudipatsar, Lake Piyala, and Lake Lulusar.

Neelum Valley:

It is located in the Neelum district of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. It is the most famous valley of Azad Jammu & Kashmir among tourists. Athmuqam, Sharda and Kel are the most famous places in this valley. The highest place in the Neelum Valley is Kel, which is located at an altitude of 2097 meters above sea level.
