Wonderbra is on top

On a year-end list of ‘hot’ and ‘not’ for the UK, Wonderbra is still as popular as ever! The Daily Mail carried out a clothing poll and the bra came in at # 3 as a UK essential – the only bra on the list, of course.

Wonderbra has had several incarnations over the decades and has been very successful around the world, including the United States. Following its relaunch in 1994 in the United States, sales of push-up bras nationwide increased 43% that year. Since then, we’ve enjoyed its revised, now exclusive, padded and push-up design.

Especially since the 1990s, it has inspired other competitors to create their own version. One of the most popular has been the Victoria’s Secret miracle bra. With all the new versions of this iconic bra, it could take a day to explain all the details that define each one. However, in a world where there are every type of bra imaginable, across the pond, the British still love the Wonderbra more.

Trivia:

1. How long has Wonderbra been around?

2. Which model, wearing a Wonderbra on a billboard, is “allegedly responsible” for numerous car accidents in the UK because drivers were concerned about his bold chest rather than the road?

3. These are Wonderbra’s advertising slogans from the early 1990s, “Hey guys,” “Who cares if it’s a bad hair day,” and “Look me in the eye and tell me you love me.” What were the two released for the US?
