5 reasons why men exercise

Cars, scale models, women, and sports are some of the things men love, but there’s one more to add to that list: working out. Men can often be found in gyms during lunch breaks, before and after work, and even on weekends. Getting a fit body is a lot of work and maintaining it can be such a big job. Exercising is something men take very seriously, but image is everything.

Men have a wide variety of workouts that they do. The most common workouts include, but are not limited to: abdominal exercises, cardio, yoga, Pilates, pecs; I think you get the point. Getting familiar with a few exercise methods in place of one is a good way to break the monotony and will likely give you more success and longevity towards your fitness goal.

Men tend to have more free time than women, so they have the opportunity to exercise more often. For the most part, men are not the ones driving kids to and from school, going to PTA meetings, or shopping for groceries so they have more time to exercise.

Men love to exercise for a number of different reasons:

1. Helps them achieve muscle tone and definition

2. Helps them relieve stress

3. It helps them lose weight and eliminate excess body fat.

4. Feel good about themselves (Ego, boost of self-esteem)

5. You are following the example of another man in your life (for example, a colleague, brother, or best friend).

The reasons a man can exercise vary and can change as he goes through life’s changes. An example of this would be a man who has marital problems. You would probably be more likely to stay away from home more often during this time. This would leave you a lot of extra time to exercise or have an affair, whatever you were in the mood for that day. I would say exercise, but don’t overwork it. A good balance between a healthy diet and exercise will keep you in better shape.
